Get Healthy Heat with Infrared Home Sauna

How To Choose The Best For Your Home Sauna
Today, saunas aren’t just for health clubs and spas any more. Now you can enjoy the luxury of a health sauna in the comfort and convenience of your own home; having a sauna after a hard day will melt away your daily tension and stress. Your sauna experience will be most enjoyed if you’re using the right equipment that makes you most comfortable and provides you with the greatest health benefits. To know the most suitable type of sauna for your home sauna, learn about traditional and infrared sauna. You can find many information on the Internet. As reference, you may want to read article below on Infrared Saunas.

Infrared Saunas
According to wikipedia, Infrared (IR) radiation is electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength longer than that of visible light, but shorter than that of radio waves.
Infrared sauna uses Infrared as the source of heat. The radiation hits the surface of the body and heats through a process called conversion, instead of heating the air around you. In an infrared sauna, the infrared heater produces radiant energy, which is the same as the heat from the sun, only without the harmful ultraviolet rays.

Why Infrared Sauna Is Healthier To The Body
A conventional sauna relies on an indirect means of heat. To heat the skin, the air around your body must be heated. The hot air then causes the body to heat up, and eventually results in a sweat. In a traditional sauna the air temperature typically runs between 169 to 190 °F (76 to 88 °C), though temperatures over 200 °F (93 °C) are sometimes encountered.
While Infrared Sauna uses Infra-Red waves that heat your body directly, penetrates 1 1/2 inch below the skin which causes the body to sweat. The temperature in them is much cooler, at around 120 to 140 °F (43 to 54 °C). Many people report that the lower temperatures in an infrared sauna allow the user to stay inside longer, resulting in longer sauna sessions and therefore more overall sweating. And also because of this lower heat output, will not cause heat stroke. Another advantage is lower energy cost. Infrared Sauna may be a good choice for your home spa.

Many statements have been found related to the advantage of infrared sauna for your health. Dr. Sherry Rogers, a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a diplomate of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine, says in her book Detoxify or Die that an infrared sauna is the only way of removing man-made toxins from your body. Dr. Toshiko Yamazaki, M.D. owns a clinic in Japan where she has done extensive research on the therapeutic uses of far infrared. In her book, “The Science of Far-Infrared Therapies”, she explains that one of the reasons FIR (Far-Infrared) has beneficial results in a variety of illnesses is the ability of FIR waves to remove toxins, which are often at the core of many health problems.

Sauna Precautions
- Do not attempt to self-treat any disease with sauna therapy without first consulting a physician.
- If you have any disease or take any prescription medications, consult with your primary care physician before using sauna.
- If your skin becomes clammy, you feel weak, tired, or nauseous, stop use immediately! These could be signs of heat exhaustion.
- If you stop sweating, get out immediately! This may be the initial stage of heat stroke.
